Terms & Conditions.
The agreement between you and Rena Cooked It when you order food or book with us, written plainly.

Who we are
Rena Cooked It provides takeaway food, meal prep and catering from Nottingham. It was founded by Serena.
Rena Cooked It is a trading name of Olufunmilayo Serena Anthony-Aloto, a sole trader.
Our business address for correspondence is 136 Gregory Boulevard, Nottingham NG7 5JE.
You can contact us at [email protected] or through the contact options on this website.
These terms apply when you order food, make a booking or pay for a service through Rena Cooked It. Our Booking Policies and our Refund & Cancellation Policy form part of these terms.
If your written quote or signed event or wedding contract has its own terms for that booking, those apply alongside these.
Enquiries and bookings
Sending an enquiry doesn't create a booking on its own.
A booking or order is confirmed when we've agreed it with you, any payment or deposit it needs has been received or verified, and we've sent you a confirmation.
If you pay by Bank Transfer, pressing I've paid doesn't confirm your order. It's confirmed once Rena has checked the money has arrived and marked it as received.
If an online order isn't paid, we hold it for a short time and then release it. Nothing is charged.
Please check your confirmation and tell us straight away if anything is wrong.
Prices and payment
Prices are in pounds sterling.
For takeaway pre-orders on this website, our server works out the final total from the items, options, discounts and tip you choose. The amount you're asked to pay always comes from that total.
Depending on the order, you can:
- pay a 50% deposit now and the rest before collection
- pay in full
- pay through PayPal
- pay by Bank Transfer, when it's offered for that order
If you pay a deposit, the rest is due by the deadline shown for your order or booking. For a takeaway pre-order, that's before collection.
For catering and events, the price and payment dates may be set out in a separate quote or contract.
A tip is optional. It's paid with your first payment and isn't part of the food total.
We don't store card details. PayPal processes PayPal and card payments.
Bank Transfer
If you choose Bank Transfer, we show you the amount to send, the bank details and the reference to use. Please use the order reference exactly as shown.
Telling us you've sent a transfer doesn't mean the payment is confirmed. Rena checks the account by hand, and we email you once the payment has been verified.
If we can't find your transfer, we'll tell you and may ask for details that help us trace it, such as the date and the name on the account you paid from.
Takeaway and pre-orders
Takeaway pre-orders are prepared for a particular collection date. Pre-orders close at the time shown on the takeaway page.
Sometimes we run a same-day flash sale of a few portions. Flash sale orders are paid in full through PayPal and collected that day.
Food is perishable and prepared for your order. The usual 14-day change-of-mind cancellation right for online orders doesn't generally apply to food that goes off quickly, or to catering booked for a specific date.
That doesn't affect your statutory rights if the food or service is faulty, not as described, unsafe or not supplied as agreed.
Our Refund & Cancellation Policy explains how cancellations are handled.
Collection and Delivery via courier
If you choose Collection, please collect your order at the time and place we confirm to you. The pickup address comes with your order confirmation.
If you choose Delivery via courier, Rena Cooked It doesn't provide or charge for the courier. You arrange and pay for your own Uber Courier or other courier to collect from our pickup point.
We're responsible for providing the food as agreed up to the point it's handed over for collection. The journey itself is between you and the courier you booked, so please make sure they have the right collection details.
Catering and events
For a catered event, please give us accurate information about:
- guest numbers
- the venue
- access to the venue
- timings
- the service you've agreed with us
- dietary and allergy needs
Deadlines for final numbers, changes and payments are in our Booking Policies or your own contract.
Allergies and dietary requirements
Please tell us about allergies and dietary requirements before you order.
We give allergen information and take reasonable care when we prepare food, but our kitchen handles multiple allergens, so we can't promise an allergen-free environment unless we've agreed that with you in writing.
Before you pay for a takeaway order, the website shows the written allergen information we have for each dish. If a dish has none, or you're unsure about anything, contact us before ordering. Please don't rely on how a dish looks, or on assumptions about what's in it.
Changes and substitutions
Sometimes an ingredient or a dish becomes unavailable. If we need to substitute something, we'll use a suitable alternative and tell you if the change is significant.
We won't knowingly substitute anything that conflicts with allergy information you've given us.
Customer accounts
Creating an account is optional, and you can always order as a guest.
Your account keeps your verified email, name, phone number, order history, loyalty progress and marketing choice together. When you first sign in, earlier orders placed with the same email address join your account.
Your account doesn't store card or PayPal details. Allergies and order notes stay with each order and are never saved to your profile.
We sign you in with a one-time code sent to your email, so please keep your email account secure.
Discounts and promotions
Discounts follow the conditions shown with the offer. A code may have an expiry date or a usage limit, may only apply to certain orders, or may be limited to particular customers or signed-in accounts.
A code only counts once our server accepts it for your order. Discounts can't be exchanged for cash unless we say otherwise.
Loyalty rewards are one-use codes added to your account when you meet the conditions shown there. If the order that earned a reward is refunded or cancelled before you use it, the reward may be withdrawn.
Cancellations and refunds
Our Refund & Cancellation Policy applies. Nothing in these terms takes away your statutory rights under UK consumer law.
Delays and things outside our control
We take reasonable care to provide your order or service at the agreed time.
Sometimes something outside either side's reasonable control causes a delay or stops a service going ahead. If that happens, we'll contact you as soon as we reasonably can and work out the right next step with you.
This doesn't remove any refund or other rights you have in law.
Complaints
If something isn't right, tell us as soon as possible so we have a fair chance to put it right. Email [email protected].
For a problem at an event, tell us on the day if you can. Our Booking Policies give the time for raising a complaint about an event booking.
Our website
The Rena Cooked It name, branding, website design, photographs and original content belong to Rena Cooked It or are used with permission.
You're welcome to use the website for normal personal use. Please don't copy, scrape, republish or misuse it, or try to interfere with the website or its systems.
Liability and your legal rights
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that can't legally be excluded. That includes liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, and your statutory rights as a consumer.
Food we supply must be as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose where the law requires it, and our services must be provided with reasonable care and skill.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the business or the website changes. The date at the top of this page shows the current version.
The terms that applied when you placed an order or confirmed a booking still apply to that order. Your order confirmation email tells you which version you agreed to.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you're a consumer, you can still rely on any mandatory rights that apply where you live.
Questions about any of this? Email [email protected] and we'll explain.
