The small print, made plain.
Please read this before you book, so we're all on the same page. Weddings are agreed in writing for each booking (see below). Our Terms, Refund & Cancellation Policy, Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy have the full detail.

For every booking.
Takeaways, trays, private dining and events.
Booking
- Every booking is confirmed with a deposit. We normally keep it if you cancel, unless Rena Cooked It is at fault (see your rights).
- Your booking isn't confirmed until we receive the deposit.
- A couple of days before your event or order, we'll send a confirmation by email, text or DM.
- We reserve the right to decline a booking.
Payment
- For events, the balance is due 2 days before the event.
- Events: pay by bank transfer, cash or card. You'll get an invoice from Rena.
- Takeaway pre-orders: pay online by PayPal or Bank Transfer, either a 50% deposit with the rest before collection, or in full.
- A Bank Transfer order is confirmed once Rena has checked the money has arrived. Telling us you've paid isn't enough on its own.
- Takeaway orders get an email confirmation, and your order page always shows what you've paid.
- If a payment is late and we haven't heard from you, we may cancel the booking.
Cancellation
- 14+ days before: you lose the deposit only.
- 7 days before: 50% of the total invoice is due.
- 3 days or less: the full invoice is due.
- Cancellations must be made in writing.
- Takeaway pre-orders: see our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
Changes
- Guest numbers can change up to 14 days before.
- Menu changes are fine up to 14 days before.
- Last-minute changes may come with a fee.
- All changes must be made in writing.
Delivery and travel
- Travel and delivery costs are in your quote from the start.
- We're not liable for traffic or delays nobody could foresee.
- Please give us the right address. That part is your responsibility.
Allergens
- Tell us about every allergy when you book.
- We take allergens seriously, but we can't guarantee an allergen-free environment.
- A full allergen breakdown is available on request.
Photography and media
- We may photograph the food and setup for our marketing.
- If you'd rather we didn't, tell us when you book.
- We may share reviews and testimonials on our platforms.
Quality
- If something isn't right on the day, tell us straight away.
- Please raise a complaint within 3 days of the event, so we can look into it while it's fresh. This doesn't limit your statutory rights.
- We'll always work to put things right fairly.
Wedding bookings.
Wedding enquiries are welcome. Every wedding is different, so the terms for yours are agreed with you in writing.
Agreed in writing
- The price, deposit, payment schedule, staffing, final guest numbers, cancellation terms and timings are set out in the written quote or contract for your wedding.
When it's confirmed
- Your wedding booking is confirmed once you've accepted those written terms and we've received any deposit they ask for.
Cancellations and refunds
- Any cancellation or refund terms will be fair and reasonable, and never take away your statutory rights (see your rights).
Your rights.
Our deposits and cancellation charges reflect the time, ingredients and staff we commit to your date. They never take away your statutory rights under UK consumer law, and we won't keep or charge more than is fair and reasonable for what a cancellation actually costs us.
If you have a signed contract or written quote, its terms apply to that booking too. Our Refund & Cancellation Policy explains all of this in full, and our Terms cover ordering and payment.
We may update these policies, and this page always shows the latest version. They form part of our Terms & Conditions.
